Course Description:
This course provides clinicians with an evidence-based framework for voice prosthesis management. Through case studies, learners apply research and structured clinical algorithms to real-world scenarios. Participants also explore how innovations in prosthesis design and device features can influence prosthesis selection and improve patient outcomes.
Course objectives:
- Summarize the design features and benefits of different types of voice prostheses
- Describe a structured and evidence based algorithm for managing central and peripheral leakage
- Apply management algorithm to case scenarios
