Course Description:
Voice prosthesis management involves continuous clinical assessment. Consistent follow-up creates opportunities to address needs early and support positive clinical outcomes. Through case-based examples, this course will explore a proactive, structured approach to VP management and patient education that enhances efficiency, reduces reactive care and supports sustainable patient-centered practice.
Course objectives:
- Discuss the role of consistent clinical follow-up in supporting tracheoesophageal voice prosthesis function, patient education, and self-management
- Recognize common challenges associated with ongoing voice prosthesis use and describe clinical strategies to address them
- Identify practical approaches to improving access to care that support continuity for TEP patients
