This course delves into the design of tracheostomy tubes and their impact on decannulation time. Participants will explore critical factors such as the inner to outer diameter ratio and learn how these design elements influence patient outcomes. A recent quality improvement project highlighting the relationship between tube design and decannulation time will be reviewed.
