Tracoe Vario

The single lumen Tracoe Vario and Vario XL tubes have a variably adjustable neck flange and are available in cuffed and non-cuffed variations. By using a practical lever mechanism, the flange can be adjusted to achieve the optimal tube length for each patient. When the desired position is selected, the neck flange is secured by moving the orange lever upward. A scale ensures the exact positioning of the neck flange in preparation for a tube change.

Tracoe Vario tubes are made of DEHP-free, medical grade PVC and are available with or without spiral-reinforcement. The assortment includes both standard and extra-long versions.

Each side of the neck flange is also adjustable and can be moved independently to accommodate each patient’s anatomy.

Subglottic suction

Tracoe Vario Extract tubes are equipped with an embedded subglottic suction line. The opening of the subglottic suction is at the lowest possible point above the cuff. Secretions in the subglottic space can therefore be suctioned thoroughly. This reduces the risk of bacterially contaminated secretions entering the lower respiratory tract.

Tracoe Extract tubes are approved for Above Cuff Vocalization (ACV). ACV is a voicing technique typically used with patients who are alert, cooperative, and require an inflated cuff. For ACV, the suction port in the Vario Extract tube is used to introduce airflow into the subglottic lumen. This airflow travels into the upper airway restoring audible voice which may allow for earlier communication and improve quality of life.
